Apples and Cabbages

a short poem for the season

Photo by Aaron Burden on Unsplash

It is apple and cabbage season —
The good, crisp things of fall,
Red and purple and green,
Sweet and peppery, tart,
A crunchy bite like the breeze
As it nips up the hill.
