The Three Lights of Night
1 min readFeb 24, 2020
In a sky of velvet black,
The Huntsman leaps;
Three stars glitter
In his splendorous belt;
While opposite, night’s lady
Looks down, half-asleep,
Eyes closed but brilliant,
On silent earth.
And in this nether world
Where air moves restless
Through the winter’s grasp,
A cluster of three lights
Goes winking green and red,
Green and red, white
And green and red.
Daedalus seeks earth’s quiet.
